The model number you provided is for the deck, not the tractor. Please provide us with the tractor model number and all the numbers off the engine. The engine number are most important.

Good point. Thanks for the clarification. On the frame is Package # 2690322

On the RHS of the engine is Model 35677 Type 0113-E1 Code 04072211
On the LHS of the engine is Family 5BSXS.5702VR 276020.

Does that do the trick?

Your model number should have six digits, but it is enough for me to help you out. Section 7 of this Briggs manual will have a troubleshooting guide for your charging system.

Simplicity does not offer a wiring diagram for your Regent, but this site does have a diagram of the wiring harness. Don’t think it will help with charging troubleshooting, but may help with parts.

My bad about the Model Number - it is 356777. I can't type after 6:00 pm.

The first link you sent is not opening for me. Just gives a blank screen. Any alternatives?
