My Craftsman 2 mower died so I took the 13 HP engine off and installed a 17HP motor, they both are briggs motors but the old one had just 3 wires and the new one has 4 wires, I matched up the red and orange wires and got the motor to fire but I still have a black and a grey wire that go to the carb but I don't know what they should hook up to, I assume the black is a ground wire but I know what happens when people ***/U/ME!! The new motor if flooding out so I need to either find out how to connect these wires or replece the carb with the one from my old motor. The new motor is a B&S 310707 0137 E1. The old was a 28M707 .
