Wiring help needed

This has been previously spliced from rodents. There is two whites a red and black coming from main harness below pot switch on a yth24k48 mower. One of the white wires failed again but I can’t find where it connects to does anyone have a photo that would show it?

I purchased a new harness thinking it would solve my problem but new harness only has one white coming out
 
I assume you mean PTO switch and a POT switch. The following schematic will tell where the white goes and from PTO switch pins.

As for you buying parts you must go by the 96 number on the serial tag as there are 9 versions of this mower. And the following is one of the 9 schematics that it could be.

How can I narrow down which flavor of the 9 I have?
 
Look it is on the mower's model and serial number tag not the engine; usually under the seat. I as I said you need to go by the number that starts with 96.

Here is a list and there are 15 listed on my distributor parts lookup and Jacks only had 9 of them listed.
