Will new muffler run engine quieter?

Hello all,

I have a Mclane with a 3hp Briggs and Stratton 80202 1765 02 90071603 engine. I notice that when I mow without ear plugs I feel just bit deaf, will a muffler replacement help?

Also, something seems to clank a lot when the engine is running FAST but the clutch is not engaged. Anything to be concerned about? Stilll runs.

There are much better muffler systems than what come stock... However you may find it easier & less expensive to get a set of worktunes headsets ... plus you can use them any time you want, not just while mowing... I would look into the 'clanking' sound... clanks are not good... :smile:KennyV
