Call it the green zone, or green room I enjoy it too, and it gives you time to just block everything else out....

I guess I'm a little sick also. In March I start cleaning waxing and servicing my tractors for the season. I think I start cutting before the lawn has grown long enough. I think of it as quality time in the yard. I have three gt's set up for yard work. One is for cutting grass, one for grass and leaf pick up and one for grading and hauling. My wife uses the hauling tractor for weeding and landscaping. My larger tractor only has a 2 cyl diesel, but I smile just as well.

My smile does wear off by the end of the summer, but it come back every spring.

Another thing that puts a big goofy smile on my face is cleaning my mowers. If I had a good rider I would enjoy it even more but my 3 snapper push mowers I really like cleaning. Blowing off grass on the deck, wiping off the dirt and grease, basically a full cleaning top to bottom is just something I like to do. Every time I mow I do a light cleaning to, just blow off it off with compressor and wipe off handle. Its a simple pleasure I know but, especially in spring and summer, it's great to just hang out in the garage and work on the mowers. Someday I'm sure I will buy an old LT14 or LT16 if I can find a good price. Even though I don't need one it would be fun to have. But for now the 2 sp an 1 push that I have keep me occupied.
