Strange... I DON"T see You discussing ANYTHING, I would just like to refer you to my post #5 ... Then to your "Brilliant" and Only post #10... Was that Deliberate?
Or do you just Not read these posts? 'Moving' a thread IS not part of any discussion... WE were discussing a choice of particular mowers to be considered for a commercial venture.
I guess if you were not paying attention you also could have thought it should be 'Moved' to "Commercial & Residential Lawn Mowing".

I have a residential ztr for my business just because it was the only thing I could afford. If you can, go with the snapper pro, or something closer to it on the Hustler line. the 3100 drives are going to be a heck of a lot better than the ezt drives....

with the often quoted disclaimer of ... I am not a professional... I say go with the mower that is "repairable"!! something I learned from all of these pro's on this website is that residential is meant for a yard a week tops... not 5 yards a day. Being able to repair it and return it to service is paramount to running a successful business! I am a big fan of snappers in that I have not been able to wear out my snapper walk behind... and my 1st ztr was a snapper since they were the only ones at the time I could find sized to go through a residential gate. I bought my Country Clipper because it had a unique feature that made it much easier for me to service the deck and blades. Also because it was much closer to commercial than residential. Although it does not have repairable wheel motors. I got 15 years out of my Snapper zrider using it for 10 yards a month for the 1st year and then 2 times a month for the rest of the time. Had my income depended on it though I would have bought a commercial mower from the start.

A_tank96,
I totally agree and I too tried to convince user shawnlc to compare the SnapperPro to others(Hustler Fastrak, Gravely ZT HD, etc.) that had at least the HydroGear ZT-3100 trannies. You're right(as is user txzrider) that attempting to start a lawn care business with an entry-level Residential ZTR is "risky business".
