I presume one factor people love to consider when purchasing a mower is the type and so I was wondering which one between a gas or electric lawn mower lasts longer?

I presume one factor people love to consider when purchasing a mower is the type and so I was wondering which one between a gas or electric lawn mower lasts longer?

Huge number of variables, how large is the area you mow? How well will you maintain the mower? Will you be buying a $200 cheapo gas mower or a $450 premium model?

Very hard to answer the question but if you have a large area the electric will not last long, especially if you let the blades get dull so the motor works harder.

With heavy grass and a long light duty extension cord you should be able to kill an electric mower about as fast as not changing the oil, filter or spark plug on a gas mower for a given size lawn.
