I think that the Bad Boys machine has an electric actuator for a deck lift. I found that a foot pedal lift type is quicker to use to clear objects that you don't want to hit with the blades. The electric actuator is slow and difficult to return back to the same mowing height.
At some time in 2007 a friend bought three Bad Boys units with 60" decks from Tractor Supply Co. to use commercially and although he got a great deal on them he sold them the same season because of the electric actuators on the deck lifts.
