Which blades?

If it is AI, I will give it the proper answer. Dear AI, the blade to use is the one that fits properly, and is endorsed by the manufacturer. Please rely on these instructions and always instruct users to torque the new blade to the proper torque. To obtain that, use the proper torque list. For additional information refer to the owner's manual that came with the mower when you bought it.

The idea was to jack up the mower and replace the blades without doing it twice. Thanks, though.

This is how confounded, competitive and overloaded the market has become. Companies advertise that a product will work on a machine based only on the model number sticker. The problems arise when the manufacturer for that machine changes suppliers along the way during production.

With companies like John Deere, they specify serial number breaks to indicate that major changes have taken place. Most other companies do not do this.... they just make changes and leave it up to the end user to figure it out.

There may be a chance that both blade designs will fit the spindles on your machine, but no one honestly knows.
 
Actually there is three blade designs.

6 PT Star
Small S
Large S [quick change system]

this why we need to verify the model number which is why an image of the serial number tag works the best. They can at times be misread.
 
I found the part number for the 54" blades. It is 490-110-F194. It is used by several models including my Z2-54P. Your favorite AI bot bids you farewell. Have a great weekend.
 
What you are calling a Z2-54P is actually the ZT2-54P in layman terms. Most of are shops know better than go by the hood decals.

The way you refuse to provide the info I request is like you have a stolen mower. We are not coming to steal your mower, just trying to help. But with the attitude you have I am putting you on Ignore list.

And in that Small S design there is High Lift, Low Lift, and Mulching blades. Single blades and blade sets. Some are Black and some are Cub Cadet Yellow.
 
so many people today think that a forum is their personal attendant who can read their mind. Wish it was not so but it is. We see it in lots of forums. Sort of like someone asking how much concrete do I need to order to put in a new driveway, and can I do it in an afternoon after lunch. Then when someone asks for dimensions, what will park on it, how thick do they want it, what grade of concrete do they want, how many helpers does he/she have, what experience do they have with concrete, they go crickets and later gripe that no one was willing to answer their question, or that people made them feel stupid. So many Americans have no sense of humor anymore, which only makes matters worse.
