When mowing my JD 625R cuts off when deck is lowered

Sorry, it is a 652R. with PTO on and deck is up it will drive fine but as soon as the deck is lowered, and you try to drive it will cut off. I have checked all the safety switches. At the bottom there are 2 wires in that circuit going to a small black box, but it does not have a switch on it. It is just a small black box about 3/8 thick and 1 inch wide. I have not tried to jump that one yet as my time ran out on it but I will try tomorrow. Any suggestions would help a lot. Thanks

Does it look like this ? And what are the two wire colors so I can look over the schematic?

Or a picture of the part might help.

Let me ask a question to jog my memory. I haven't work on one in at least 3 yrs. Is this the one where the deck and the engine deck moves as one piece? I seem to remember it does. If so that causes quite a bit movement in the wiring harness.

Yes, that is correct and after looking this morning I don't think the piece I was talking about is not my problem. It is a blue and white connector but the connector is like a trailer or charger connection. I guess I will just have to start tracing wires. I have tried to find a wiring diagram but so far no luck. When the pto is on and deck is lowered it does not cut off immediately but runs for a few seconds to 2 or 3 minutes before dying. It is really taxing my brain.

That is the anti inductive kickback diode for the PTO clutch.

Now JD does change wire color at times but keep the same wire numbers.
