Due to the very high cost of OEM wheels where I live I'm looking to make up some 4 stud hubs and buy wheels and rims for the front of my Toro ride on.
The standard wheel is an 8" rim with 16" diameter 7.5" width tyres. Google says this width tyre ideally needs a 6.0" wide rim. I've been unable to find those but have found 5.5" rims which appear to take 7.5" tyres. 7.5" is just within the max limit according to one site.
Q: Rims appear to be available with A and J profile from different sources. Any idea which bead profile lawn tyres use? It's probably important for the safety of a car or trailer but does it matter for a ride on mower? Can you fit J tyres on A rims? A tyres on J rims?
