What is wrong with this grass, why is it yellow in some places?

Hi,

I'm trying to find out why I have this huge patch of yellow grass. In the summer it eventually turns mostly green but not like the rest of the lawn. It is very dense, it's hard to mow and when you walk on it it feels like very thick carpet.

I call it Virginia creeper. It is like crab grass. The only way to get rid of it is to kill it in early fall and replant good grass.

Looks like the Bermuda we have around here in TN. Won't green up till the heat comes. Prefer mowing nice Fescue imo.
