What is this?

Really? I can’t imagine it got bent so badly from straight to a 90 degree angle! Wouldn’t I notice a difference in how it handles?
 
my eyes tell me that is the same part. Sure looks like something smacked the system. Based on the bend angle maybe a 3" to 4" whack.
 
I see these bent all the time on husqvarna mowers. Flimsey 1/4" rod. You can bend it back kinda straight and it will work. It is just there to stip sideways movement of the deck.
