What are people thinking?

I wonder the same thing so much of the time. I don't understand what makes people so different from the norm. Why are there killers that honestly believe they are doing the right thing? I'm really into psychology and would love to sit down with one of them and try to figure it out.. It's really sad and scary that people act that way!
