My experience has been similar with a FasTrak SD; The FX series is a power house and will last forever with care and maintenance. Sometimes we forget to blow out the cowling or windtunnel; whatever you choose to call it....it overheats if the temp runs a bit over norm and the compression levels can put a little extra load on the cranking amps AND if the engine is really running perfect; nice and a little rich the evaporative carb pressures offset the metering and you will flood it. If you flood it....go to alternate plan B. Alternate Plan B says "check the fuel ON OFF actuator. Now I have a problem that I have seen in some other threads, mine will start cold but does not start hot. It progressed to starting cold and if cut off after 5 minutes, will not start. I have done most of the suggested procedures except change the carb. It has a solenoid on the bottom and I don't know when it engergizes, as soon as the machine is started or somehow as gas is needed?? Don't see anything on the web that answers that for me.
