HI, DOESE ANYONE KNOW WHER I CAN BUY A STARTER MOTOR FOR A TECUMSEH MOTOR.PART NUMBER-36914 28138.ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT.I CAN'T FIND ONE HERE FOR UNDER $300.

Sounds a little on the pricey side. I wouldn't be surprised over here in the states you could get one for less then haft that price. It mighty cost you over a 1000 dollars to come over here to get it. Is your old starter rebuild-able or is it burned up? Maybe all it needs is a set of brushes and new bushings??

hi thanks for your reply.the starter is not repairable.was overhaeted to the max.magnets cracked and fell off.case has be deformed from trying to remove mounting brackets in hope of modifying one.i have sent some e-mails to some replacement parts people and am waiting for reply's on availablty and postage costs.thanks bruce

Stems Part number 435351 is a replacement starter for a Tecumseh part 36914. Cost is about $150 US.

The new Tecumseh part number is 730326 and again is about $150 US.

This website (Starters & Starter Parts For Tecumseh Engines) has a replacement starter 36914 for about $61 US.
