Hello,

First post here. I recently picked up a Briggs and Stratton Vanguard 23hp and where I'm trying to mount it to is running into the oil filter.

Is there a oil filter relocation or re-angle kit on the market? My search is not turning up much

Yes Briggs offers a relocation setup. But you will need to piece together a set of parts. Here is the parts list. The main thing you need to choose between 18" and 30" relocation hoses. So it is either 492061 with 18" hose or 492062 with 30" (item 295) and 492687 (item 1028)

Thank you for the reply. I was looking at part 808033 that would essentially just angle the oil filter straight out instead of down. Then at which point I would just need a longer hose right?

Someone with direct knowledge would need to chime on this. All I looked for was the remote filter mounting setup. OR you can contact a local Briggs dealer that may have done this.

that would bring the filter slightly higher than mounted now and straight out as opposed to the right turn on angles down as it is right now. Briggs doesn't show the 808033 being used on any of the 38 series engines but use it on the 35 series and smaller engines. If it will mount which I think it would will that allow the filter to clear what you are having issues with now.

It should work as the mounting gasket is the same. But it may cause it own clearance issues depending the equipment setup. The remote filter mount is get pass those tight fitting installations.

But I did not see oil coolers used on the 35 series engines so the adapter may or may not have fittings for it.
