Ultrasonic cleaner

Just wanting to put feelers out there to see what everyone finds works best in their ultrasonic baths. I have used several different things but always looking for better.
I've found diluted simple green, diluted Mr. Clean both work quite well. Mixed results on adding baking soda to the mix.
Even water with a couple drops of dawn has served the purpose. But what is everyone's favorite go-to solution?

simple green makes a cleaner that is metal safe. (Simple Green HD Heavy-Duty) That is what I use and it does a good job. I preclean if needed with my parts washer that uses a parts cleaner like Stoddard solvent.

A cheap hot plate, cheap pot from the wife's cupboard with some Pine-Sol water.

First, always use distilled water. It works really well by itself in an ultrasonic tank.

Just for good measure though I add a splash of white vinegar and pine-sol along a splash of CLR bathroom cleaner. That cleans out any rust sediments or aluminum corrosion haze easily.

Once done, blow out all passages really well with compressed air.

I clean a lot of older Holley vehicle carburetors also and this has worked very well for me.

I haven't had any luck with vinegar. It seems like it almost eats away at the metal on little carbs and whatnot. Maybe I'm just mixing it to strong.
Haven't seen the simple green HD, but definitely on the look out for it now!
Never even considered using distilled water, always straight from the tap. Good to know!
And I was doing the pot on the stove for a good long while until the wife finally grew tired of the kitchen smelling like an exxon-valdez incident. It worked well enough for her to get me a big ole ultrasonic for the shop last year for a birthday, and the difference is remarkable. Just looking for other cleaning agent ideas now.

Always clean off all the heavy debris on the outside before putting it in the tank, that will work much better.

My ultrasonic cleaner saves time and works great! I use about 3 parts water and 1 part Super Clean.
