The Tampa Bay rays are up 6-0 on the Texas Rangers in the 3rd inning.
Anybody see the Rays - Yankees game night before last?
It's being called the best regular season game ever played...... The Rays came back, scored 6 runs in the 8th inning from a 7-0 defecit.
Then, with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th tied the game with a home run on a 3-2 pitch to go into xtra innings.
They won the game in 12th with a walk off homer by Evin Longoria....baseball history, it was great!

I stoped watching at early at 7-0, figured the outcome was pretty much set, with it being New York and all that. I saw it on sports center though..... amazing comeback, that was some hollywood stuff there, unbelieveable!
I heard that the H.R. ball is going to the hall of fame.

I know this is getting off topic but I'm annoyed that the Tampa Bay baseball team caved in to pressure and changed their name. I thought "Devil Rays" was such a cool name.

Off topic sometimes are the best type...and I know what you mean about the names of sports teams. Back in about '95 when Oldsmobile Stadium was opening up for minor league baseball in downtown Lansing, a lot of the suggestions for the new team name was "Rockets" for Oldsmobile Rocket...but they picked a stupid name like "Lugnuts". So visiting teams could say things like "Crack their nuts...." yeah right.

When the stadium name was changed because the new sponsor was a local school that taught law, and it became Cooley Stadium, I suggested they change the name of the baseball team to "Hit and Run"....

Re: Stinkin Tigers

The "stink'in Tigers" are down 8-1 to the yankees in the 7th, I hate the yankees.

You sound like: JDgreen, the Canadian edition.
I find Swamp People watchable but your right they do over dramatize make it sound like Gator hunting is a lot more dangerous than it is, as well as exagerate the weight of some of the gators. I particularly like the 2 bearded brothers that are gray and missing most of thier teeth. The 2 that squirrel hunt from the front porch:laughing:.

So much of TV, most of all those stupid reality shows, are so scripted and fake they make me want to puke.

Know what never fails to amaze me, is when I think back to the past, our TV sets were small, had poor picture quality, lousy sound, very few channels were available, we had no means of recording anything, yet many of the programs were so great we remember them fondly today.

In contrast, we now have huge, 1080p plasmas and LCD's with fantastic pictures, multi channel stereo sound, hundreds of channels, DVR's, Blu-Ray, etc.....and 98% of the programs are such commercial-laden crap we don't want to watch them.

What a shame...too bad broadcasting quality and program content didn't keep pace with the technology that developed what we have in the way of tv hardware today, instead of improving, it degraded.

You guys KNOW I AM RIGHT ABOUT THIS.....!!!!!!

The real oldies like "77 Sunset Strip, Hawaiian Eye, Bourbon Street Beat, Route 66, Wanted Dead or Alive," Etc were REALLY GOOD compared to the crap today.

The stupid movie is so narrow, its like watching a scene from a yard away trough a crack in the fence, all one sees is half a head and nothing below the shoulders.
Whats up that these days, one sees it more often.
If they call that "progress" than i like to know what "degress" means:confused2:

You should be able to change the display settings on the TV to watch those movies in the correct format. Sometimes our TV does it automatically and sometimes we need to do it with the remote.
