I have one of the multi-tool machines that has a cultivator, trimmer and brush attachment.
The starter rope will not pull when it is attached to the machine but when I take the starter pull rope assembly off it operates smoothly.
Anyone have any ideas as to the cause?
Two things that I have found on the MTD products is the starter housing warps, causing binding of the starter, and the starter pawls on the flywheel get bent 90 degrees causing binding.
