Troy BIlt

I have a Troy Bilt pony riding mower. Will crank and run for about 5 mins. Will not crank back up right way. Have to wait about a hour for it to run again. Any ideas?

First thought here is a failed coil, assuming it uses one. See if a spark is being produced when it stops.
