Troy bilt press to start blower quit working

My leaf blower quit working.always worked and on the first pull never an issue. Put it away and next time I tried to use won't start. And it seems like it's not even trying to start. Pulled plug and cleaned it. Almost like it has a kill switch that won't let it turn start.
Could the plug be bad?

Absolutely, change plug & air filter. Question: are you using mfg. recommended 2 cycle oil and octane gas and mixing correctly. Remember to gap plug to mfg. specs.
