This is my first post. I have a 2 cycle snowblower with a Tecumseh engine that was given to me and hasn't been ran for several years. I sprayed some wd 40 in the cylinder before doing anything and let it sit. It has a basic gravity flow carb with a float. So I removed the carb and cleaned it really well. New float (plastic), new gaskets, new fuel lines and fuel filter. New spark plug. It has an electric starter, which is nice.
Got it all back together. Now it starts and runs on choke but dies when I take off the choke. I made sure I cleaned the holes in the screw that holds the bowl with a wire. New gas.
I would appreciate any advice. I don't know if I need to go all the way and have it soaked in a tank and replace the rubber seat and needle valve and metal plug?
Thanks!
