I am working on a 2018 Time master. model 21199 4043xxx serial range. I found a problem with wear on the spacer and the brake arm causing multiple belt failures and I am replacing those parts. However I also observed that the top bearing in the primary spindle doesn't seem to turn easily. Primary spindle being the one that the mower drive belt from the engine connects to. It looks like the shaft turns inside of the bearing... but the inner race doesn't turn easily inside of the outer race. I do not see any signs of wear on either the spindle shaft that passes through the inner race, or the inner race itself, but it sure seems like it should spin freely. it is permanently lubricated bearing.

Questions: Is there a part number for a replacement bearing? Is the bearing separately replaceable or does the entire spindle need to be replaced. Any advice on removing just the top bearing from the spindle if it is replaceable. I used a small pick and removed the black plastic cover/seal from the bearing and sprayed WD40 into it and it did not seem to make the inner race move freely. Any and all input we!come

if referring to item 1:3 then yes they are replaceable and they are 6203-RS Which mean they are only sealed on one side but if no grease zerk present use 6203-2RS bearings, Just make you repack the bearings as a lot of the time they are only partially fill with lousy grease. Recommend replacing both bearings. Just take large punch and hammer, go around tapping the bearing from the inside to get them out. OR yet use slide hammer with the correct size bearing removal collar. Just be careful driving out the spindle shaft as to not damage the threads and attention to order of the parts.

Thanks for the info. I did get the inner race on the existing bearing freed up somewhat. What seems funny is that the shaft seems to turn freely inside of the inner race. The bearing is not a press fit or even a loose press fit onto the shaft. But the shaft seems to turn freely inside of the race and there is no sign of wear on the shaft or the race. Is that normal? I only looked at the bearing at the top of the spindle. I did order some of the bearings and can see how they fit on the shaft
