Hello all, we have just gotten a toro timecutter z4200 and it has trouble starting. it has a kohler engine on it that looks like it was off of a craftsman mower. (yes it does have a working fuel pump) but it doesn't start like it's suposed to. It has to crank sevral times before starting. We have noticed that there are two fuel filters on the line; could this be the problem?
thanks.

Check the battery to make sure it has a full charge. I had a similar issue, and all it needed was a "top off."

Depending on when you bought it (new) the engine may still be inder the engine manufacturers (Kohler's) warranty if it needs repair or replacment. Like a car, though, you will likely have to pay the dealer to check it out to find a problem.

No we cannot do that because we bought it used as some what of a fixer upper and as I said before the engine has been changed out from one on another mower.
