The toro in the photo began having issues late last season.
I bought this mower off my uncle when He bought a high wheel machine about 20 yrs ago.
My yard is small and flat so I never use the "self propelled" feature. In late summer last year, it seemed as if the mower didnt want to stay running if it got very hot . Mind you, my grass only takes 15=20 minutes to mow. I always bag it . It does smoke a bit on startup as well. It has always leaked a bit of oil but I keep it topped to level.
I guess my question is about what steps to take. I dont have experience working on mowers except for replacing the blades, oil or muffler. Is a mower this age worth working on or should I just get a new mower? If working on it is a good idea, what would a logical sequence approach be?
