toro 400 impeller removal

Hi does anyone know how to remove the moulded impeller on a toro 400 / allen xr44. Its powered by a Honda gxv57. I cannot use a conventional puller and i dont want to be too heavy handed on it as its a steel boss with the impeller moulded around it.

Forgot to say, its a hover mower
 
could you take a pic? my brain isn't working at the moment.lol,if its the blade adapter you might try a bearing separator tool,sold anywhere automotive tools are sold.

Hi thanks for your reply . The impeller is moulded onto an aluminumboss . The impeller cannot be pulled with a pullwr as there is nothing to grip on to. I also cant heat the boss up as it melts the impeller. The internal part of the boss is threaded and the only way o can see working is to attach a slide hammer. Was wondering if any of you guys had any experience. Thanks in anticipation

Here attached is the impeller exploded diagram.

I am going to give you something to do until someone smarter than me can help,buy a can of penetrating oil,PB blaster or whatever is good in your parts,and everytime you go near the thing spray the shaft at the impeller,after a few days of that you may be able to wiggle it off.i think that is a splined shaft,after all the soaking try a screw driver and rubber mallet and lightly tap the center of the impeler where it touches the shaft,a little patiences will pay off.i hope that helps

Thanks for the reply.
Sorry to spund a defeatist but I cant soak the boss as there is a small hole in it and it all runs out. Also its a straight keyed crank. Gonna give it a crack with a slide hammer
