I ran out of gas and after refilling the tank, it now continually floods gas into the engine. The fuel line appears to be siphoning fuel on its own. Any ideas how to slow the flow?

Remove the carburetor bowl, take the float and needle valve out, clean the piece of debris from the needle and or seat, replace float and needle valve, add a little gas to the tank and with feather light upward pressure see if the gas flow will cease. Ok, it did. Now put the bowl back on and get back to work.
