Timing for planting Fesue/Blue Grass Blend

I live in the piedmont NC area.

I badly need to re-seed my lawn, but due to circumstances beyond my control, I won't have a chance to do so until around mid-May.

Does anyone have any idea if that is too late?

A quick search indicated that the best time for you to plant fescue is in the fall. You could probably try tossing some out now and see if it goes anywhere, but it sounds like you'll do better if you wait.

Pretty bad actually. I've got a large variety of weeds, and ample supplies.

I've blitzed the yard with Weed B Gone Max. Hopefully it will take care of that - but I'll have lots of thin/bare spots left.

i would not sew the blue grass after the middle of april and still it will not come up if it don't get alot of rain blue grass likes cool wet conditions im about 100 miles from you so shouldn't be a big diference your a little warmer a llittle quicker than use.
