If it's a Kohler engine then it has hydraulic lifters and no valve adjustment is needed.

Kohler courage has adjustable rockers.

Mine is a 7000 series with the black valve covers. Mine doesn't have heat shields either.

Better than trying to remove Hondabond 4 that is grey at installation but will turn burnt black and crack and start leaking on the 7000 series valve covers within 30 minutes of first start.
