Tiger Cat II fuel gauge problem

One of the fuel tank gauges on my Tiger Cat II is stuck on empty and doesn't move; even with a full tank. As far as I can tell from the operator's manual drawing, the gauge and float mechanism is all one piece. Has anyone had any experience removing one of these fuel gauges before?

Looking at the float gauge it looks like it's pressed in.
Get two pry bars of some sort, one on each side on the top and pry it off.
