Dayum! That mower would probably cost as much as JD's house on 10 acres.

Best $ guess, what, high 200k to low 300k? I dunno, my "expertise", such as it is, stops at around $400.00USD. That is a real machine..:licking:

It looks really fast -- does anybody know the top speed while mowing?

And how about those dirt strips (parallel to the direction of mowing) -- does it leave those as it mows?

If you watch the second video it show them picking up that stuff from the ground.

Putting it in wind rows makes it easier to pick up.

Anyone know what that is that they are mowing?????

Thats exactly how they cut hay down here. Cut it, rake it, and round bale it. Theres a guy near me who uses a Claas round bailer.
I think that is in europe and they are harvesting alfalfa

My last apparaisal 7 years ago was near a quarter million, but that was before the real estate market tanked. Odds are, that monster mower would cost something like half again as much as my value was back then. From what I can see, it is likely a flail type mower. Be one expensive job replacing all those blades.

That's funny -- I didn't think it looked like cut (and dried) grass. I thought the brown strips were dirt.

It is dirt!
If you watch to the end of the second video you will see them gathering the green stuff up.
They did not let it dry they picked it up and the machine chopped it and blew it into a high sided wagon.

POS
too slow, too heavy; too expensive
13mph - top work speed; 24mph (40km/h) - max transport
reg.ztr -depends of OEM - 13,15,16,18 mph

>300 000 EURO (~>400 000 USD ($) - like 30 15(18)mph movers

12 L engine - only 480 hp; Chevy Corvette - 6L-430 hp; 7L - 505hp
at least 15 gal per hour - full car tank/hour or 3 of 5gal gas cans per hour
18 ton (40,000 lbs)

p.s. regular 15-18mph mowers would do circles around this behemoth : )))))))

The large buildings in the background must be the intended destination for the green chop, looks to be a dairy. Around here they call those swathers. None of them I have been around have that type of cutting however, they all have a sickle that cuts it . They are not so large either, nor can a person cut that fast. Truly an amazing machine.
