That's expensive

And this is why I have sworn off John Deere. A shame too. I want a tractor, and I can't, in good conscience, buy from the biggest American manufacturer of small tractors. Around here, there are two dealers... Deere and Kubota. I guess I'm getting a Kubota.
been running a kubota tractor on the place for 21 years, no mechanical issues whatsoever, just maintenance.

Orange is nice but the only dealer near me is a high end "motorsports" dealer and doesn't like selling retail parts. I think their parts motto is. Hey John deere hold my beer warch this.

I simply jumpered my seat switch, cost me "nothing" on my older 445.
However, attempting to do the same with my NEW X740 found it will not start with a simple jumper.
Probably requires a special resistance to pass the test to start. . . hmmm. any ideas folks?
Which color was the switch itself?

Not the same machine, but instead of a budget breaking seat switch I put ring terminals on the wires, then screwed a mending plate on the seat and one on the frame using the screws for the ring terminals. Sit & Go!
