Tensioner spring

I purchased an Ultima Z2 50 with the Kawasaki 23 hp motor in march. It has broken 5 tensioner springs. Each time it breaks it is 60-75 minutes in. I replaced the first one with the spring ordered through the dealer and they have replaced the rest. My neighbor has an ultima ZT1 and has mowed my grass for years. I mow in the same pattern and with the same throttle control/speed that he has. He has broken zero springs. The spring has only broken on straight flat runs, not in turns, incline, decline, or on grade. The shop wants to watch me mow because it has to be something that I am doing. Anyone else have any experience with this issue?

Sounds like it's time for the dealer to call in a technical rep and find the problem or send the mower back to the factory and give you a replacement

The chances of 5 tensioner springs being defective and breaking are pretty small. Is the shop going to set up a chair in your yard and watch you mow until the tensioner spring breaks? Need to recheck your mower, source another supplier for spring, and try another dealer if need be.
Is this the deck tensioner spring, or drive belt tensioner spring?

It is the drive belt tensioner spring.
