This engine is on a Craftsman Roto tiller. I hope this is ok not being a Lawn mower???? It was given to me in a few pieces. Specifically the carburator spring and governor link were detatched and I am having touble figuring out exactly what holes they go into. This is not the type of engine I typically work on. I have the exploded diagram from the Cman manual. I think all of the parts are present but not sure where these two piece connect.
Below is a link to the manual. At the end is the exploded view diagrams. On Page 30 you will see items 186(Governor Link) and Item 19 Extension spring. The model number on the engine is a sears number, 143.986001. The Craftsman Tiller Model number is 917.293401. If someone has one of these machines or a ~6HP Tecumseh 195cc OHV horizontal shaft engine it likely is the same. A picture of this area would be awesome help. Thanks.
