Tecumseh 4HP won't start ! Have spark !

I have a Tecumseh 4HP won't start ! I checked spark with one of those inline checkers. You can see the light go on when you pull the cord .
I pulled the Champion J19LM plug out and it was wet. Cleaned it with break cleaner , put it back in , pulled cord ... NOTHING ! Usually you get something from using break clean ... nothing ! So I have a bunch of mowers around that use the same plug. Put them in and nothing ! It ran last year when I put it away. Even pulled all the fuel out ! I tried spraying brake clean the carb ... nothing !
Any ideas ?

Need to retry spark with a gap style spark checker. The blink style spark testers can give a false positive. You could try removing the spark plug, connecting the wire and grounding the plug to the engine and cranking to check if the actual spark plug sparks.

On the outside? She is going to need a full clean internally.

So I went hunting for the model # on the Tecumseh. That meant pull off shroud . Never found model # ! But I'm staring at the coil and the cooling fins ! Since I can't normally see the plug from the pull start position! Here we go ! Got my Dewalt , got an adapter and spun the motor each way while having plug positioned near body of motor with it's wire attached, NO SPARK ! Going to say the coil is dead ! What I didn't do is get a known good plug and see what happens ! Anyhow ! This is a picture of the naked motor, don't know what model it is because I don't know were it's marked ! Assuming it IS the coil , what's the part # ? Pictures below !

Disconnect the kill wire from the coil and retest. If still no spark then dead coil. If you have spark, then the issue is with the kill wire or kill switch.
 
Also loosen and lightly retighten one coil retainer screw at a time and make sure the coil does not move. Sometimes rust will interfere with good grounding of the coil frame.

The model and serial number for the engine should be stamped in small numbers on the side or back of the air shroud

So as I get older my stupidity is just ramping up ! It's at 11 now , going higher ! I just turned 67 ! Anyhow... when I was testing for spark before with my Dewalt and turning the fan....I did NOT have a clamp on the handle to disengage kill switch and brake ! So I was just back out at mower, put the clamp on it ,,,, and I HAVE spark ! So I put it back together , cleaned plug again with some brake clean, pulled cord.... and the same absolutely nothing ! What gives ! ? What could possibly be the problem ??
 
some brake cleaners are not flammable. Use Berrymans B12 or a teaspoon of good gasoline. Also, do you have compression? A valve could be stuck open. Check the oill level and smell to be sure the crankcase isn't so full of gas the mixture is too rich to ignite.
