I have been using an older cub cadet LT 1045 which I picked up for free 3 years ago, put some work into it and have been using it ever since to cut about 3.5 acres of lawn. It has a 3 blade electic clutch driven deck and it runs great! The problem is I picked up a nearly new T1700 with 46" 2 blade deck that didnt run for $100. previous owner put in new coil, new battery, new spark plug and new oil. I removed the head and discovered one of the valve ring seats popped out, replaced it, reinstalled head and this thing runs and cuts GREAT! removed the deck, power washed, wired and painted the bottom of the deck as well as sharpened blades.
I have never owned a craftsman mower other than my self driven push mower and would like some input on whether it would be smart to get rid of the cub and use this craftsman. I maintain my stuff meticulously and always keep stuff clean and indoors.
tried to add pics but files are too big.
Any input will be appreciated.
Thanks!
