I have a Kohler 7000 26 HP. I have replaced the carb, fuel pump and fuel filter. I have adjusted the governor. When I replaced the carb, the problem seemed fixed, but it came back in about 5-6 hours of use. I cleaned out the old Walbro and put it back on with no improvement. The symptoms persist throughout the rev range with perhaps a little improvement at the top end. I have also adjusted the pilot jets with no effect. What else can I try at this point? Is it possible that I have done something to the governor spring or spring attachment points to cause this?
Thanks.
