Hi y'all from Tn. I've got a Huskee rider out here with the brakes locked up. The pedal is stuck in the down position but I can't see anything holding it there. Any suggestions (other than buying a Deere)?

If it has the brake lock on the dash check under the hood to make sure it is not bound up. If that is not it follow the linkage to the rotor and see if the linkage or the rotor is bound up. This is on the assumption that your Huskee is a model that is set up the way i think it may be. You really need to provide more information if you want the tech types to answer. There is some real good ones on here. If you cannot find the problem then get the model and serial numbers and repost. The tech guys will pick up on it.

If it is made by MTD, look where the brake rod passes the deck lift arms. The brake rod which has an offset, could be jammed there. Check to see if the return spring isn't broken. The brake cam arm also has a return spring.
