Stihl string trimmer no power.

Old FS66 (early 80's ?) string trimmer has no power or high rpm.Took to shield and muffler apart.did not fine a spark .arrester.It has never been in a shop,so it hasn't been removed.I no I didn't remove it.Did some of the older models come with out one?

It does look like that.I was looking for a mesh screen.it doesn't have one.I found the problem.It was a clogged air cleaner.Running good now.Thanks much
