Stihl KM 90 R Kombi - Slide Control Stuck

Unable to stop the engine as the Slide Control will not move past the Normal Run Position (?) - have to use the choke.

No problem starting or running.

Any tips on opening the Controls component to check it out?

With or without...the slide wouldn't move to the Stop position.
Opened up the component & 'polished' off the little bar that the tip of the slide moves over on its way to the Stop position....then added a little silicon grease...seems to work well now.
