Whats preset carb adjustment on this saw that has the compression relief valve?

Ok. Ran for first since replacing a bad piston. Rpms were climbing and shuts off on idle. Today wont start but would flood itself. Didnt even choke either. A PO messed with the carb adjustment.

sounds like you have an air leak, which is probably the reason you lost the first piston. you need to check your fuel line and pulser line for leaks, seals.

When you say pulser line is that the same the carb to cylinder boot?

no but thats a good place to check also, the "pulser line is below the boot going from the cylinder to the carb or carb mount.

I didnt see a pulser line when i pulled the cylinder to replace piston. I got a compression relief valve on top the cylinder.

On this saw the impulse line connects directly to the carburetor and the other end goes to the cylinder. It attaches to the carburetor
on a brass inlet. It's located on the opposite side of the carburetor where the fuel line attaches.
