starter connection question

need wiring help on briggs starter with ground and two wire plug. where does the two wires connect? model number 121507-2060. picture of starter shows two wire plug. there is a smaller third wire to ground.

You are trying to apply AC electrical basics to a DC system, won’t work. Your starter is a DC starter, which one side of that plug is wired to positive and the other side is wired to negative. There is no separate ground.

thanks rivets, i will test continuity from plug terminals to stater casing and proceed accordingly. i'd been unable to get the mower going for some time. glad to have something to go on. regards
