SR engine idle

The idle seams high and the screw to adjust is already off the stop . It seams like the rod has to be bent to lower the idle. I have to let idle for a bit before I shut it off or it backfires. The dealer supposedly could not find this issue

The SR engine is their brand The Scag SR engine is a V-Twin engine series designed for Scag mowers, offering multiple horsepower options, smooth operation, and a mix of carbureted , with some units based on Briggs & Stratton Vanguard or Loncin/Predator platforms

We need engine numbers!!! If you cannot look closely for engine numbers you’re not capable in adjusting the carb properly. I don’t care who branded the engine or what series it is, we need to know the exact engine model.

Really people !!!! I am looking for suggestions and was not around to get the numbers and was preparing to get the machine ready for start up for the season
It is a Loncin NCGPS 8032PL 708 cc

Really, you come here looking for help and then try to berate us. Our ESP and Crystal Balls have been down since COVID so we must rely on engine numbers to properly help people out. Even DIY guys like you should understand that. I’m finding very little information on the engine with the numbers you posted. Maybe if you posted the Scag numbers I could find things going in the back door. Finally, how are you measuring rpm’s, by ear or with a tachometer?
