I have a 22hp intek v twin and I can’t figure out where the Spring-choke return goes. If someone has a picture to show what holes it need to be in that would be great.
I went to the B & S page put in my engine #and got nothing.
model 44N877
Type 0005G1
Thanks

I think you are getting confused
Please take a photo of the offending spring & post it.
Remember these carbs are installed backwards so the closest butterflys to the engine are the choke & the front most ones are the throttle

The spring is part of the newer auto choke system (early version). Personally I haven't seen it but one end would connect the choke butterfly arm and the other on the lower control bracket (non moving part) to pull the choke fully open. I have seen the version three just not either of the older versions.

This auto choke system is not covered in the service manuals but is a fairly simple system.

The one on the right is the new one.
The motor starts and revs at the high end and I noticed that the throttle control on the carb does not go up to idol. When I hold it there it idols but it still revs to high when I throttle up. I did check the governor control and it was set right.
