What exactly don't you like? I honestly have no complaints but I don't give it a lot of hard use. Had mine for roughly 2 years with no issues. None so far anyway lolI despise my new Stihl FS 56.
I should have bought another Echo.
I was cussing the thing earlier this morning.
Is it hard to put back? Alternatively is it vital to trimmer running properly? On my way to trim my 80 year old mother's property and sponge is on my bench..The sponge is probably from the tank vent valve.

I've never seen a sponge like that in any Stihl FS56 I have dealt with. This looks like and "oops" part that got in thereHi guys, today when filling up the tank on my trimmer I noticed this small round sponge inside..does it belong somewhere or did I accidentally drop this in at some point. Seems to run fine.

That would be awesome, I have had more than my share of oops momentsI've never seen a sponge like that in any Stihl FS56 I have dealt with. This looks like and "oops" part that got in there
I hope mine doesn't last as long as my Echo did.Mine will start usually first pull, second at most. Guard is who knows where and she is a bit thirsty, but I agree that choke is tough to twist in its location. Maybe when she is done I will check out that Echo
