Spark Arrestor

Is there any system of establishing if these are fitted IE . Were they fitted to all after a certain date or are they model specific. Are they fitted to UK items ?

I have an FS45 and SH85 and cant see one on either !

Dont have them fitted. A right pain in the @$$.

In the Us, Aus, and Canada, the screen is fitted on the end of the exhaust pipe threaded into the muffler.
Do the English ones have a threaded exhaust pipe?

Neither my FS 45 Strimmer or SH 85 Blower/Vac appear to. The muffler has 2 fixings in the face and an exhaust tube protruding but this has nothing fitted to it nor is it threaded so I guess mine dont have one.

Your Fs -45 has a spark arresting screen look Page 34 part 15 a 5/8" socket will remove it so it can be cleaned

Thanks for the input.

Mine is a UK model and the manual that you extract from is a USA one.

There is definitely no arrester/screen on either of my kit. Will get some pics this weekend and post up to clarify.
