I have Series 20 Snapper rear engine rider
And under the plastic belt cover (where there is handle to engage the mower) a rat has made a home
Lucky I got the rat out and now it is STUFFED with nesting materials (its packed full of stuff) that I want to remove it
the plastic cover it has a split in it for handle and I had it off before
But for life of me I forgot HOW to take it off
I think I was supposed to lower deck and I did not lower it so now its wedged in there
I am going crazy trying to get the cover off
I thought I take a break and ask this forum !
Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,

Get the product label information of the factory label or plate, then go to parts tree and look up the parts diagrams. The exploded view of the parts can tell you a lot about how it is assembled.

I did that already it does not show how to get it off
I had off before but I can’t remember how I did it
I think I had to lower the deck with the handle (that raises and lowers the deck) and it comes out
But I not sure
I just want someone to back me up on that!

Just saw this posting, sorry for late reply. You have undoubtedly gotten it of by now. But In case someone else searches on this looking for advice, let me just say that you remember rIght, lower the deck as far as you can. Standing on the left side, lift the cover straight up and turn it clockwise 90 degrees and with the power takeoff handle in the slot, pull it towards you u until it is out. You may have to maneuver the power takeoff handle some. It is a royal PITA.

Yeah I figured it out I forgot I had to drop the deck
Its all good now
Thanks for the late answer though!
Agreed with you its a PITA
—Mike!
