Snapper Model yz145383bve Hydro problems

I'm not as knowledgeable with Snapper as I am Cubs So when I'm Stuck I have no problem Asking questions. :tongue:. I can not get the left hydro to engage. I have checked the fluid, Cables, disengage, axle, connections, and Joystick. All are good. I'm just at a loss. the right hydro works fine. any help would be great. the mower has less than 200hrs on it and is in excellent condition. Worked fine was put up for one week then the left hydro just wouldn't engage. any help or suggestions would be great. added a web pick, same mower.

It can be a few things.
1. Linkage to pump/drive motor disconnected.
2. Drive belt loose.
3. Pulley loose.
4. Air in pump/motor.
5. Pump out.
6. Drive motor out.

I may have left out a few things but Im sure you will get lots more help besides me here.
I would start at the top of the list and work my way down.

since I have checked all of those, I'm guessing the hydro pump is bad?

I don't believe your hydro is bad with number of hours on Snapper. I would take my time going through troubleshooting steps over & over again before changing parts.

It's not the pump it's self. The solid steel tube that holds the pulley and runs down in to the pump the end that connects to the pump has like a T shaped end that has become woren along with the round price that it connects to . It's supposed to sit in the cylinder and spin the pump. It just spins now so that's where my problem is. The part is NLA so I figured I just find another pump but that's not so easy.

Snapper part # 7029128, website replacementparts.com has part. Also google: Eaton 7029128 transaxle parts, then click on PDF Eaton for parts, you may be able to purchase parts you need instead of complete transaxle.

Also google: Eaton parts manual for 778-005 transaxle.

Like I said it's the shafts that the pulley attaches to that is bad. That part is not sold individually. The customer doesn't want to spend 300$ on a whole new / used pump. This is why I'm looking for one that is bad in hopes the shafts is good. Or even a good used pump that works and is on the low side $.
