Well yesterday I had the opportunity to try out two Snapper Big Six's that someone I know had. Not thinking about buying one, just wanted to try it out again (I used one last year). The first thing I noticed is that it is definitely harder to start than my Honda mowers. It takes multiple pulls, and you have to prime the engine. They are pretty loud, probably to do with the disk drive, which is interesting, and it sounds a lot different.
So the first mower I used was set to the mulching mode. It mulched fairly well. Few more strands of grass left than I would have liked to see. But I was overall pretty satisfied with the mulching capabilities.

The second mower I used was set to discharge. I personally don't like side-discharge mowers. I was cutting off more than I probably should have. The cut was great, but it was clumping a lot, and the discharged grass didn't spread evenly at all.

This is probably because the mowers are fairly old, but they stunk like burning oil. That and the noise gave me a headache.
It's blades:

If this was a new mower (and in mulch mode) I would consider buying it. It did a pretty good job.
Not sure what else to mention so if you have any questions about certain areas just ask.
